Store Within A Store / Environmental Design / Retail Design / Fixture Design / Concept Visualization

Retailers are rethinking their floor plans to create an environment that is custom and engaging for people to navigate and shop. We partnered with a major retailer to re-evaluate the customer experience in their pet care aisle to be a unique destination within their stores. As the battle between brick and mortar retailers & e-commerce sales continues to escalate, retail environments will use environmental design to elevate their position in the marketplace.

We developed 3 concepts for our client: Home, Market and Mod.

Concept 1 : Home

Home was developed around the concept of “housing” cat and dog supplies inside an iconic shape. The idea brings in minimal lines and structure to emphasize the house silhouette. Minimal table tops would display items like toys, beds and packaged foods allowing people to metaphorically enter a house and interact with displays that represent items seen in a modern home.

Concept 2 : Market

Market brings the open-air marketplace indoors. Rustic wood features are complimented by matte black chalk paint signs and merchandising details. Toys would be featured in a way that would make the viewer question if they were looking at fruit and vegetables or cat and dog treats.

Rustic / Warm / Inviting


Concept 3 : Mod

Mod was a supporting concept designed to be flexible & modular in nature. Modular building blocks would be created that could transform a space instantly. Multi-use cubes could be configured and branded in multiple ways for ultimate floor plan flexibility.
